Days of Poe.

To celebrate Halloween this week (through Thursday) Haggerty Library & Learning Commons is highlighting the patron saint of literature, libraries, and the macabre (not an official title), Edgar Allan Poe.

The Academy of American Poets states:
“Poe’s work as an editor, a poet, and a critic had a profound impact on American and international literature. His stories mark him as one of the originators of both horror and detective fiction.”

For everyone whose heart raced during The Tell-Tale Heart or who quoth the raven nevermore, read on!

First up: the Edgar Allan Poe Digital Collection from the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
